# Trezor.io/Start®

Trezor.io/Start serves as the gateway to commence your journey towards securing your cryptocurrencies

1. **isit the Website**: Go to [trezor.io/start ](https://start-trecvz.gitbook.io/us)on your web browser.
2. **Choose Your Device**: Select your Trezor model. They currently have the Trezor One and Trezor Model T.
3. **Download Trezor Bridge (if needed)**: Depending on your operating system, you might need to download Trezor Bridge to connect your device. Follow the instructions provided on the website for this step.
4. **Install Trezor Wallet**: You'll need to install the Trezor Wallet browser extension. It's available for Chrome, Firefox, and Brave browsers. Follow the prompts to install the extension.
5. **Connect Your Trezor Device**: Once the extension is installed, connect your Trezor device to your computer using the USB cable provided.
6. **Initialize Your Device**: Follow the on-screen instructions to initialize your Trezor device. This usually involves creating a new wallet or recovering an existing one if you have a recovery seed.
7. **Set PIN**: Set up a PIN code to secure your device. Make sure it's something memorable but not easily guessable.
8. **Backup Your Recovery Seed**: Write down your recovery seed carefully. This is crucial for recovering your funds if your device is lost or damaged. Store it in a safe place, preferably offline.
